Changing your password is one of the easiest things you can do to help secure your information online. IUSD has set up a portal to allow you to manage your password without the need to contact your teacher or some other employee at your school.
Step 1: Go to identity.iusd.org
Go to IUSD's password management portal located at identity.iusd.org. This can be done in your web browser on any device from any location.
Step 2: Login
Type in your IUSD network login (ex. 24smithjohn) and use your current password. Click on “Submit”.
Step 3: Security Questions - On your first login
If this is your first login to the system, you will be prompted to submit responses to a choice of Challenge Questions. (You only need to create two, don’t answer all of them). If you've ever forgotten your password, you'll be able to click on "Forgot Username/Password" on the login page to verify your identity and recover your account. If you've already set these up in the past you'll go straight to Step 4.
Step 4: Change your password
Click the Change Password button. This should be done yearly or anytime you think your password has been compromised.
Step 5: Password Requirements
Type in your current password and then the new password you would like twice. Your password must be between 8 and 16 characters.
Once you change your password you will need to go to your devices and update any stored password there to reconnect to services like WiFIUSD, Google Drive, or signing into your district account in the Chrome browser. Please note: You will need to wait about 15 minutes for your new password to sync with all IUSD services.
If you have any questions, submit a new ticket or email us at helpdesk@iusd.org.
