WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS TUTORIAL?
This tutorial shows users how to access ImageQuest by Encyclopedia Britannica through Canvas, search for an image, create an album and save the image either to desktop or Google Drive, as well as how to cite it.
Step 1: Login
Select Encyclopedia Britannica from the IUSD bookmarks tab or visit https://iusd.org/eb
From the Encyclopedia Britannica home page, select Your Britannica Resources, then select ImageQuest
Step 2: Find image
Use the search box to enter your search term for example, “Ancient Greece”. Locate an image that you would like to save.
Step 3: Save image
If you want to save the image to an album that you can name, then click on “Add to My Images” (red arrow). Here we are adding the image to a new album called “Ancient Greece” (green arrow). You can add other images to this album.
Another option is to click on the option to “Download” (yellow arrow) and then you can save the image either to your computer (red arrow) or to your Google Drive (green arrow). If you save to your Google Drive, you will need to link your school account.
Step 4: Cite image
You can capture the citation for the image by clicking on the word “Cite” (red arrow) and choosing the citation style from the dropdown menu (green arrow). You can copy and paste the resulting citation or export it as a text file.
