This tutorial will provide the necessary steps to embed an image into Canvas’ Rich Content Editor from your Canvas images.
Step 1: Open Rich Content Editor
Navigate to the Rich Content Editor using one of the Canvas features which support the Editor.
Step 2: Click Picture Icon
Step 3: Click on Canvas
Step 4: Choose from Course files or My files
Images can be embedded from selecting course files or your personal files. The images will only appear if they are made public to all users in the course. Personal images need to be uploaded to your files prior to embedding them in the Rich Content Editor.
Step 5: Select Image and Verify Attributes
Choose the image you would like to embed. After selecting a photo, the Alt text under attributes will be updated to the name of the image and can be edited if you choose to do so. Dimensions can also be edited to change the width and height of your image in pixels.
Note: Canvas maintains the aspect ratio of your image, so after entering a different length size, the height will be changed automatically.
Once your attributes are as you would like them to be, click Update to save and view your photo.
