WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS TUTORIAL?

This tutorial will help you to identify the term that your Canvas course is tied to. There are three different ways to identify the term of your course - from your Dashboard, from your All Courses page, and from within an individual course.

Step 1: View Course Term from the Dashboard

• To view the course term from your Dashboard, login to Canvas from IUSD’s Canvas site (https://iusd.instructure.com), which will take you directly to your Dashboard. You can view the term of the course under the course’s name.

• *Note: You will need to be sure your Dashboard is in Card View, which is the default view.

Step 2: View Course Term from All Courses Page

• In Global Navigation, click Courses

• Click All Courses

• The terms of your Dashboard courses can be viewed in the popup screen once clicking on Courses, but you can view the term of all courses in your account once you click on All Courses.

• From here, you can view the term of each individual course you are enrolled in.

Step 3: View Course Term Within the Course

• To view the course term within your course, click on the course from your Dashboard. Once you are in the course, you can see the term above the Home button.
