IUSD continues to offer an extensive Summer School program to provide opportunities to recover learning and enrich and accelerate your educational experience. Device access will be required in many of these courses, and the methods of access are described below.
Device Access Models
Incoming TK-6th Graders: Chromebooks will be available in your classroom in a cart
Incoming 7th Graders: Chromebooks will be available to check out from your Summer School Site. These devices will be used only for the Summer School program and must be returned at the end of Summer School. You will check out a device for next year from your middle school in August.
Incoming 8th Graders: Please bring the Chromebook that was checked out to you from your IUSD middle school.
Incoming 9th Graders: You may bring your own device to use in class, otherwise Chromebooks will be available to check out from your Summer School location. These devices will be used only for the Summer School program and must be returned at the end of Summer School. If you need a device for next school year, that will be checked out from your high school in August.
Incoming 10th-12th Graders: Please bring your own device or the Chromebook that was checked out to you from your high school.
Checkout Dates/Locations: (please bring your student ID)
After the start of summer school, additional checkouts or exchanges will be handled in the school Media Centers. Classes will not be released to the Media Center for checkouts, so please take care of this before or after class.
High School Summer School
Thursday, June 12th: 9 am - 12 pm
Creekside HS Room 1 - (3387 Barranca Parkway) - Virtual students at San Joaquin High School in Health and Math 3 courses who need an IUSD device. Students in all other courses should bring their personal or IUSD-issued device.
Friday, June 13th: 9 am - 12 pm (the day before the start of Summer School)
Woodbridge HS Library Media Center (2 Meadowbrook) - Incoming 9th graders to High School Learning Recovery Academy at Woodbridge HS and Virtual students at San Joaquin High School in Health and Math 3 courses who need an IUSD device. Students in all other courses should bring their personal or IUSD-issued device.
Middle School Summer School
Monday, June 16th (the first day of Summer School)
South Lake MS - Incoming 7th graders to the IUSD Middle School Learning Recovery Academy at South Lake MS. (Incoming 8th graders should bring their IUSD-issued device.)
Lakeside MS - Incoming 7th graders to the IUSD Middle School Learning Recovery Academy at Lakeside MS and MS Math Bridge students who need a device. (Incoming 8th graders should bring their IUSD-issued device.)
Summer School Chromebook Returns
All devices checked out for Summer School must be returned at the end of the summer school program. 7th and 9th grade students will have the opportunity to check out a new device in August from their assigned middle school or high school.

IPSF Summer School Device Access
If you are attending an IPSF Summer school course, devices will be provided at the site where the program is hosted. For some classes at the middle school and high school level, you may be asked to bring an IUSD device if you were issued one. Check with your IPSF instructor for full details.
