2024 CHROMEBOOK RETURNS
This school year was a much more traditional year for devices in our schools, and the return process this year will also be much simpler than in years past. We are recommending that students keep their devices over the summer unless they are leaving the district or transitioning to another IUSD school.
No Returns Needed:
Current TK-6th Graders: Your devices were not checked out and will remain at your school site. If your site did check out a device to you, follow the directions from your school site.
Current 7th Graders: You may keep your device over the summer unless you are exiting IUSD.
Current 9th-11th Graders: You may keep your device over the summer unless you are exiting IUSD.
Returns:
Current 8th Graders: Please return your device and charger to your school site before the end of the year. Your site will provide details about how and when. You will be checked out a new device from your high school at the beginning of next school year.
Current 12th Graders: Please return your device and charger to your school site before the end of the year. Your site will provide details about how and when.
All IVA Students: Please return your device and charger to IVA at the end of the school year. IVA will provide details about how and when.
Exiting Students: If you no longer plan to return to IUSD in the fall, please return your device before you leave.
SUMMER SCHOOL DEVICE ACCESS
Should your child be enrolled in an IUSD summer program, devices will be provided on-site at the elementary level. In middle school or high school, your student may bring their own device or check out a device from the host summer school site prior to the start of the summer school session. Checkout details will be communicated from the summer school program.
All devices checked out for summer school must be returned at the end of the summer school program.

Q: What do I need to bring to return?
A: Please bring both the Chromebook and charger.
Q: What if my Chromebook has been lost or damaged?
A: Please email helpdesk@iusd.org to report it. We will inspect devices after collection and fines may be issued if undisclosed damage is discovered. Additional information can be found here.
Q: What if I missed my school's return days?
A: Please email helpdesk@iusd.org to coordinate your return. Include your student's name and home school site.
