WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS TUTORIAL?

Turnitin accounts are limited in number so students should not create multiple accounts. If a student has created an account using their IUSD Google account,  but forgets the password, there is a way to reset the password without having a live email address. 

Step 1: Navigate to the Login screen 

• Go to www.Turnitin.com and attempt to login. If it fails (see screenshot below) and you want to reset the password, click on the “Forgot your Password? Click here”.

Step 2. Username and Last Name

• Enter the information used to create the account. If you already enrolled in the class, your instructor will be able to see your email.

Step 3: Secret Question

• The next screen will give you the chance to answer the secret question you setup when you created the account. 

Step 4: Reset Password 

• Reset your password ( at least 6 characters and contain at least one number and one letter) and confirm by entering it a second time. 

Step 5: Reset Password Completed

• If the password reset was done for an account with a live email, there will be a confirmation of the reset sent to that email account.
