Quick Guide to Access Intent to Return Form in Parent Portal - Parents
To access and fill out the form, you must be logged into the parent portal for the current school year. Please ensure that you are on your child's regular record. The form is not available on a summer school record.
Step 1: Accessing Parent Portal:
Before entering your email address, ensure you are in the current school year. Once you have entered your email address, click NEXT. Enter your password, and click SIGN IN.
Step 2: Select the “Intent to Return”
Select the “Intent to Return” form from the Home Page under “Student Info.”
Step 3: Complete the Intent to Return Form for each child.
Once on the Intent to Return Form, click the “Add” button in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
- Click on the dropdown arrow to make your selection.
- Enter a comment in the comment box if appropriate.
Attend Current School – choose this option if your child will stay at the current school next year.
Attend Assigned School - Choose this option if your child is attending a school other than the assigned school, and you wish to send the child to the assigned school next year.
Step 4: Save your selection.
After completing your selection, click the “Save” button.
Step 5: If You Need to Make Changes
If you need to change your selection, you may click on the Edit pencil to make the change.
Step 6: Complete the Form for Additional Children.
Please complete a separate form for each child enrolled in IUSD. To start a new form for another child, click on the “Change Student” button at the top of the screen (original view) or look for your child’s name/school (new view). Complete the above steps for each child.
