About IUSD Email
IUSD email is provided by Microsoft and can be accessed on our Office 365 online portal at portal.office.com.
- All IUSD staff and selected consultants are provided with a district-issued email address.
- Students in grades 4-12 have access to an IUSD email address.
Accessing Email
To access Office 365 and Outlook, please follow these instructions -
Go to portal.office.com
Sign in with your IUSD account -
Outlook Start Page
- Once logged in, you'll be at your Office 365 Start Page
- App Launcher
- Install Office on your current machine. Your license allows you to install Office on up to 5 PCs or Macs, 5 Tablets, and 5 smartphones.
- Create a new file within an Office 365 application
- Office 365 Application shortcuts
- Recent documents
Outlook Mailbox
- To access your email, click the Outlook icon in the Application Shortcut section or App Launcher
- You will then be logged into your mailbox
- Mailbox folders
- Email Preview Pane
- Email Reading Windows
- Email Reply
- Message actions
- Additional settings (My Day, Settings, Help, What's New, Notifications)
- (From top down) Mail, Calendar, People/Contacts, Files, ToDo

Student Email Restrictions
To protect our students' privacy and keep them safe online, student email is restricted to educational use only. Students are generally not allowed to send email to or receive email from individuals who are not affiliated with IUSD. Their email accounts are subject to the following restrictions:
