WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS TUTORIAL?
This tutorial outlines the steps parents would take to create a Parent Dashboard account. A Blocksi Parent Dashboard account allows parents to block websites that they do not want their children to access while using an IUSD issued device at home.
*Please note that Parent Dashboard settings will only be effective outside of instructional hours of 7:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday regardless of whether the student is on campus or at home.
Step 1: Register for a Parent Account
Visit parent.blocksi.net. Select Register here.
You will then be directed to the page below. Enter your information and select Create account. (For security reasons, please use the same parent email address on file with your school site.)
Step 2: Account Validation
After you've filled out the information, you should see the verification page (see below).
In your email, you should see a message from Blocksi as shown here. Select Click to Verify
Please notify Irvine Unified will by sending an email to email@example.com and letting us know that you're requesting a parent account. Please allow 24-48 hours for approval.
Step 3: Open Your Blocksi Parent Account
Once your account has been approved, you should have received an email from Blocksi that looks like this. Select the Go to Dashboard button.
This should take you to the login screen. Enter your email address and password and select Log in. If you signed up for the Parent Dashboard with a gmail address, you may select Sign in with Google
Step 4: Viewing the Parent Dashboard
Once logged in, you should see the Parent Dashboard page below
