WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS TUTORIAL?

This guide will show students how to log in to the Houghton Mifflin Harcourt digital content through Canvas.  This content is adopted for specific high school courses.  

Please note you will need to be logged in to the student's Canvas account (Observer accounts do not have access to the digital content).

Step 1: Log in to Canvas via Chrome

Visit https://iusd.instructure.com and use the same Username and Password you use to log in to the computer.

Step 2: Course Access

Click on your class course.  If you don't see the class listed, please contact your teacher for assistance.  

Step 3: HMH Ed

Once in the course, click on HMH Ed from the left navigation bar to access HMH's online content platform.  If you don't see HMH Ed listed on the left side navigation, please contact your teacher for assistance. 

Once clicking on the HMH Ed link, you will be prompted with the following message. Click Open in New Tab.

Step 4: Logging in to HMH Ed

Please note the login process varies based on if you are at school or at home. 

From a Chromebook while at school, you will be prompted to log in with your IUSD computer username and password (e.g.19doejohn) and click OK.  

From Home, you will need to log in with your student "email" address, which is your IUSD username + @iusd.org.  For example, 19doejohn@iusd.org.

You are now logged in to HMH Ed and should see your class on your dashboard:
