WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS TUTORIAL?
This guide is designed to show users how to quickly switch between multiple ParentSquare accounts without signing out and back in. It provides an overview and frequently asked questions (FAQ) for how to switch accounts.
What to Expect After your Accounts are Un-Merged
- No action will be required on your part to unmerge the accounts.
- If previously logged in, you will remain logged in to your staff account and can use the account switcher to add another account and sign in to your parent account.
- Users with a merged staff/parent account will be separated into a staff and a parent account.
- Some previous messages, posts and other communication may stay with your staff account.
- Staff who have not merged accounts will now be able to sign into their accounts separately and toggle between accounts on the same device.
- Staff can update their notification preferences to determine which account receives which notifications.
- If you’re logged in and only see your staff account, follow the steps below to connect your other account.
How to sign in to your other account(s):
- Click your name in the top right and select + Add another account.
- Enter Email or Phone Number and Password.
- Click Sign In.
- If the other account has the same email/phone number and password as your staff account, you will be navigated to the access page. Click the name of the account you want to sign in to. If you do not see this option, skip to the next step.
- Now you can easily switch accounts without signing out. Click your name, and select which account you want to open under Switch Account.
Add Another User Account on a Web Browser:
- From Home, select your name in the right corner.
- Click Add another account.
- Sign in to the additional user account with your sign in credentials.
- The available user accounts will be visible when you click on your name in the right corner. Note: the check next to the user's account name identifies the account currently in view.
Add Another User Account on the App:
- From Home, tap the Menu (triple bars) on the top left.
- Tap Switch account under your name.
- Tap Add another account.
- Sign in to the additional user account with your sign in credentials.
- The available user accounts will be visible when you tap Switch account from the Menu.
Switch Between User Accounts:
- If you have multiple user accounts, you can switch between accounts on a browser or in the app without having to sign out.
From a Browser
- From Home, select your name in the right corner.
- Click the name of the desired user account to switch the account view.
From the App
- From Home, tap the Menu on the top left.
- Tap Switch account under your name.
- Tap the name of the desired user account to switch the account view.
