WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS TUTORIAL?
This tutorial is for users who want to log in to multiple Chrome accounts on a single laptop or desktop.
Step 1: Open Google Chrome
- Log in to the computer and click on Chrome.
Step 2: Login to Chrome
- In the top right-hand corner of the browser, click on the user button.
- Click + Add
Step 3: New Chrome profile
- Choose to sign in with another Google account or continue without an account.
Step 4: Sign in with another Google account
- Sign in with an alternate Google account if you would like.
- When prompted to “Turn on sync,” select “Yes, I’m in” so that your data (Browser history, extensions, etc) will sync over.
- You can always choose what to sync in settings. Google may use your history to personalize Search and other Google services.
- You can also choose “No thanks” if you would not like the data synced.
Step 5: Customize your Chrome profile
- Select a color theme to customize your Chrome profile. You can change the name of the profile here as well.
- Now you can switch between the two accounts by clicking on the user button (or the image you chose for your account) and choosing the other account.

These instructions are for a PC. If you are adding a Google account to an Apple computer, the directions differ slightly.
Click on the circle icon to the left of the 3 horizontal dots. Next, click on the Gear symbol that says Manage People. Then, click on Add Person on the bottom right. Choose and Avatar and sync.
